The author uses this rich collection to refine our understanding of how the centre of this city, considered to be the capital of the Arvernes before the Caesarian Conquest, functions. The complexes of its public buildings are confronted with assemblies of workshops and residential buildings. The process leads to the creation of an interpretative reference framework. The analysis highlights the dynamism of economic activity in the heart of the Gallic agglomeration, the evolution of which is examined in the light of the sociology of the various actors in Latvian society.

To carry out this reflection, the purpose is initially based on the observation of some 43,000 fragments, including 3,847 illustrated fragments. The study aims to collect all the information contained in each artifact to address various issues, from the chronology of the main markers of the period to the function of specific tooling or harnessing parts. These analyses are systematically based on the spatial distribution and taphonomy of furniture, options that provide additional insight into the consumption patterns of metal objects at the end of the Gallic period.
