Boire et manger en provence (Xe-XXe siècles) : étude archéologique et historique de la consommation alimentaire

This book is the publication of the proceedings of a two-day conference held in 2020 in Aix-en-Provence and organised by Marie-Astrid Chazottes with the support of the LA3M and the Fondation Nestlé France. Its aim is to highlight the food culture of Provence
and its construction between the Middle Ages and the contemporary period by means of an interdisciplinary approach, at the confluence of written and material sources. The various contributions show how the crockery and tableware evolved, how they were
structured, and how they documented eating habits. Finally, each article provides a glimpse of the social dimension of meal sharing, its transformation and sometimes even its ritualisation.
